Yes, Herman Hiss & Company can repair and remount all types of jewelry, including rings, pendants, earrings, and more.
+ Are repairs completed on-site?
Some work can be done in-house, and other more complicated work is taken care of in our jeweler’s complete shop.
+ What is the turnaround time for repairs?
The average turnaround time is two to three weeks.
+ Can I have my jewelry cleaned at Herman Hiss & Company?
Yes, we are happy to check and clean your jewelry. You can come in any time during our business hours to have your pieces checked and cleaned while you wait.
+ Does Herman Hiss & Company do appraisals?
Yes, we offer complete jewelry appraisals for insurance using the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) grading standards. Our rate is $150 per item. Our turnaround time is usually two weeks or less and is always done in-house.
+ What is the process if I need to update my appraisal?
We are happy to update any previous appraisal from Herman Hiss & Company for $75 per item. Each piece needs to be inspected by the appraiser before any update can be completed.
+ Do you offer financing?
Yes, we offer six-month financing. Please contact us at info@hermanhiss.net or (989) 892-2567 for more details.
+ What forms of payment do you accept?
Herman Hiss & Company accepts cash, checks, and all major credit cards as well as Apple Pay.
+ What is your return policy?
We offer full refunds on qualifying items, in their original condition, within 14 days of the original purchase. After 14 days, we are happy to offer an exchange or store credit. *We must have the original form of payment present to issue a full refund.
+ What items do not qualify for returns?
Custom items and special orders (items that we do not normally stock) are not eligible for returns. Items on clearance and sale items are not eligible for return.
